Record dairy markets and a focus on the food service sector combined to push sales for the Associated Milk Producer Incorporated Cooperative in 2014. AMPI Co President and CEO Sheryl Meshke says last year was a good one financially for their dairy producer members.

Meshke says AMPI has a new long range strategic plan they’ll be working on this year to continue growing their cooperative. She says this year they’ll continue working to transition their retail packaged cheese business through development of their Portage, Wisconsin facility into a super food service plant.

AMPI held their annual meeting this week in Bloomington, Minnesota. The Coop has 2,500 Midwest dairy farmers from six states including South and North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska and Wisconsin.
