The South Dakota interim raw milk working committee has been meeting all summer trying to find a compromise to state rules regarding the sale and production of raw milk. State Ag Secretary Lucas Lentsch heads up the committee and says they’ve been making good progress bringing all the stakeholders together.
Lentsch says they hope to have a solid proposal by October to bring to lawmakers the next legislative session to consider.
Lentsch says their committee has met since April and their discussions so far have been civil and productive.
