South Dakota raw milk backers have agreed to work with State officials on a compromise to be decided by a study group.  Dakota Rural Action Lobbyist Sabrina King says they’ve asked Senator Phil Jensen to pull his raw milk legislation in favor of forming this work group.

King says they’re working closely with State Ag Secretary Lucas Lentsch who will help lead the process with this work group.

She says they hope to move quickly following the conclusion of this year’s legislative session.

The South Dakota Senate’s Health and Human Services Committee tabled the raw milk legislation on Friday on a 5 to 1 vote.
