Raven Industries in Sioux Falls has entered a partnership with South Dakota State University, providing $5 million in funding for a new Precision Ag Building. Raven Industries Director of Corporate Development Lon Stroschein says it’s important for them to support SDSU in developing future workers for their company. He says getting qualified employees is becoming more challenging.

He says his company decided to become proactive in solving their workforce problem and assisting a valuable educational program.

Stroschein says Raven Industries and SDSU share many of the same goals.

Stroschein hopes state legislators will also assist with the project, by providing additional funding for the Precision Ag project.
