Eight chefs will be competing in the third annual South Dakota Pork Producers Council Taste of Elegance competition this Sunday in Rapid City. Program and Communications Director Stacey Sorlien says the culinary contest encourages chefs to create innovative recipes using pork. The entrees will be judged on originality, appearance and taste. The winner receives $1,000.
She says the contest is helping to promote more pork menuing at restaurants in the Rapid City area.
The Taste of Elegance contest will be held at the Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn starting at 5pm. Tickets are available at the South Dakota Pork Producers Council office.
