A bill championed by a Minnesota woman who was raped in 2014 will now be sponsored by Senator Amy Klobuchar–instead of Senator Al Franken.

Abby Honold’s bill provides funding for training of first responders on how to interview traumatized victims. Honold initially brought the bill to Franken’s attention because the man who raped her had been an intern in the senator’s office.
