Strong storms this week brought wind, hail, tornadoes and heavy rain to a wide area of the state.
South Dakota State Climatologist Laura Edwards says there were a number of reports of one to three inches of rain in the central and northern parts of the state….

Edwards says it will take more than one storm to break down developing drought conditions…………

The latest drought monitor had more than sixty percent of the state seeing dry conditions.
