Another short line segment of state owned rail in South Dakota can now receive regular service.
The South Dakota Railroad Board approved a lease with Dakota Southern Railroad to provide service to Tabor.
Board Chairman Todd Yeaton says work began on the line last month…..

The line extends west from Napa Junction in western Yankton County.
Yeaton says they expect service to run through the winter, with repairs picking up again in the spring……

Yeaton says they hope to eventually run service further west on that line to Tyndall, Avon and possibly Wagner.
