Representatives of the Napa – Platte Regional Rail Authority met with the South Dakota State Rail Board this week.

Board Chair, Todd Yeaton of Kimball said the Napa – Platte group signed their annual contract, but apparently want to make some changes…

 

Yeaton says the state board will listen to any ideas and suggestions from the Napa – Platte board…

 

Despite the lack of development so far along the line, Yeaton is still optimistic that can still happen…

 

The line extends from the Napa junction northwest of Yankton through Bon Homme and Charles Mix Counties, and has not seen any rail traffic since the 1980s.
