R-CALF members are supporting President Donald Trump’s nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Brett Kavanaugh. R-CALF CEO Bill Bullard says Kavanaugh sat on the D.C. Appellate Court which heard the case involving country of origin labeling.

He says Kavanaugh ruled in favor of the COOL law.

Bullard says the judge is very knowledgeable about the beef industry and would be an asset to the nation’s highest court.

Bullard says that Kavanaugh’s finding for COOL was recently reinforced by a ruling from the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Washington. It found cattle producers demonstrated they had suffered financial harm after Congress repealed mandatory COOL.
