The top two issues for R-CALF members attending this weekend’s convention in Rapid City include the beef checkoff and country of origin labeling. Convention organizer Tatum Lee says they’ve made recent gains on checkoff reform in the courts and are still trying to get COOL reinstated.
She says the keynote address will be given by a noted conservative political commentator and former TV host who is a South Dakota native.
Lee says they’ll also hear from the former GIPSA administrator and hold a panel discussion at the convention.
Lee says they’ll also talk about private property rights and animal health issues. The convention runs Friday and Saturday.
