Quiet Summer on SD Lakes

It has been a fairly quiet summer on South Dakota lakes that had been closed earlier in the year.
Senator Jason Frerichs of Wilmot, in the northeast lakes region, says the bill passed in a June special session has done what was expected……

The lakes were closed to public access after a state Supreme Court decision.
Frerichs says he hasn’t heard many complaints at this point…..

Frerichs says this year’s bill could be a framework for a more permanent fix……

The bill has a sunset date of next June first, so the 2018 legislature will have to take further action.
