Climate watchers are puzzled by what seems to be a quick fade of La Nina. That’s the cooling of the Pacific Ocean temperatures that has been ongoing for the last three years.

Dennis Todey, head of the Midwest Climate Hub in Ames Iowa, says signs of La Nina are hanging around….

Todey says they are seeing signs of La Nina fading quickly..

Todey says the longer term outlooks aren’t matching what they are observing…..

Todey says the expectation is a shift to neutral conditions by summer with a possible El Nino developing by fall.
