Questions Remain Year After Tragedy near Platte

It’s been one year since Scott Westerhuis killed his family and set their home, south of Platte on fire. While the investigation into those deaths has been closed, prosecutions into the embezzlement from Mid Central Education Cooperative surrounding those events continue.

South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley says he knows people are still looking for answers…..

Jackley says they have pieced together what they could from the information available……

Jackley says he sees other investigations with holes in the evidence they can gather……

Those connected to the missing money case will go to trial next June.
