Senator-elect Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says she wants to know how students are doing academically in the face of the pandemic..

Hunhoff, who spoke to the Yankton School Board last week, says the one time money in the next budget will be challenging..

Hunhoff says while Governor Kristi Noem added a two point four percent increase in state aid to education, there will be other education demands on the budget….

Hunhoff is moving from the House to the Senate and will become Chair of the Appropriations Committee.
