The 2016 NSIC Volleyball Tournament semifinals are set following Wednesday night’s quarterfinal matches.
Top seeded Concordia-St. Paul took down Minnesota State 3-0 and will host the semifinals and championship matches on Saturday and Sunday from the Gangelhoff Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Golden Bears will take on fifth seeded Winona State, 3-1 winners over Augustana, on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
In the first semifinal match, it will be second seeded Southwest Minnesota State versus sixth seeded Wayne State squaring off at noon. SMSU swept Sioux Falls 3-0, while Wayne State rallied to upset third seeded Minnesota Duluth in a five set thriller.
The NSIC Volleyball Tournament Championship match is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. in St. Paul.
The winner of the 2016 NSIC Volleyball Tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Central Regional Tournament.
