The Senate confirmed Andrew Wheeler as head of the Environmental Protection Agency. He follows Scott Pruitt who resigned last year following several ethics violations.
At the same time, officials in the Ag Department said they didn’t think the EPA would finalize rules to allow year-round use of E-15 by June.

South Dakota Senator Mike Rounds says he talked to Wheeler about getting those rules done…

Rounds says those rules will stand for quite a while…

Rounds says he thinks market pressure will push retailers into putting in the necessary equipment….

Rounds says the government shutdown is part of the reason for the delay in getting the rules out.
