The South Dakota Pulse Processors have received preliminary approval for their $ 700,000 rail siding project for their facility near Harrold, South Dakota. Pulse Processors President and CEO Steve Brown says once approved and completed the rail siding will allow them to low six rail cars at a time.
Brown says the next steps in the approval process go to the City of Harrold and to the Hughes County Board of Commissioners.
Brown says rail transport will allow them to sell peas to customers in the United States and to export markets.
Brown says they hope to have their Pulse plant up and operating sometime in September of this year.
