The Yankton County Commission this week heard of a series of emails that were sent by Commissioner Gary Swensen to States Attorney Rob Klimisch and Commission Chair Cheri Loest that both described as “disturbing” and containing “false information.”
Loest says while she is Chair, she has no authority over the conduct of another elected official…

Loest says she knows the public has questions about what is going on..

Loest says she will again bring back a code of conduct for Commissioners to consider….

Swensen also sent the emails to other public officials and instate and out of state newspapers. He had no comment during or after the meeting.
