The Obama administration is working to issue close to 100 regulations before they leave office. The Public Lands Council is monitoring that effort and will work with the new President to get rid of those. PLC Executive Director Ethan Lane says they know they’ll have several to deal with.

He says the regulations they’re most concerned about is coming from the Bureau of Land Management.

Lane says while the House recently passed a Midnight Rules review measure that would likely face a veto by the Obama administration, they’re working on a new measure that the Trump administration will likely get the new Congress to pass.

Lane says 17 of the close to 100 regulations the Obama administration is proposing at the last minute has an estimated economic impact of $100 million a year.
