The Public Lands Council along with the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association is supporting resolutions introduced in both the House and Senate to repeal a Bureau of Land Management regulation. PLC Executive Director Ethan Lane says this midnight rule approved in December by an executive order handed down by the Obama administration eliminates local input on public lands.
He says the BLM Planning 2.0 rule puts environmental and social change over multiple land use.
Lane says by taking away multiple land use, it keeps federal lands from being managed in an environmentally responsible way.
Lane thinks there’s broad support in both Houses of Congress for repealing this midnight regulation.
