Public Lands Council members are holding their legislative conference this week in Washington D.C. They’re speaking with members of Congress and federal agencies about three key issues. Executive Director Ethan Lane says one is getting the Endangered Species Act modernized.

He says they also want to get the National Environmental Protection Act streamlined, so federal officials review environmental impact statements rather than over regulating those under the Clean Air Act.

Lane says they also want to make sure grazing regulations are workable and more reasonable for ranchers.

Lane says they have around 200 members in the nation’s capital making Hill visits.
