Protect the Harvest has just released a movie showing the impact animal activism is having in the region and nation. The Stand at Paxton County is based on the true story of Dickinson, North Dakota farmer Gary Dassinger. He was charged for a felony and had his horses seized after the state legislature passed the Century Code which allows individuals to report suspected animal abuse and those animals can be seized by law enforcement without due process. Dassinger says he never thought this could happen to him, especially in North Dakota.
Protect the Harvest stepped in to help Dassinger in his legal fight against the activists and Dave Duquette says they worked to restore his property rights, which is a battle they’ve fought across the country. He says the story was so compelling they wanted to share it with the public.
Duquette says the animal activist community has billions of dollars they’re using to spread lies about animal agriculture. He says their agenda is to destroy farmers way of life and get rid of animal agriculture. ‘
The movie was premiered at the Black Hills Stock Show. It was produced by Forrest Films and will be out in the next few weeks in cities across the U.S.
