Nebraska Cattlemen Association members have been meeting with State Senators as they prepare for the upcoming 2019 Unicameral. President Mike Drinnen says property tax relief remains their top goal. He says they’ve been working with six other state agricultural groups on the issue.

He says rising property taxes have been a problem in Nebraska for many years and this session they want solid legislation approved to address it.

Drinnen says they are also pushing lawmakers to resolve the right to farm issue.

State Senators head to Lincoln January 9.
