A trade trip to Europe this week will promote Nebraska agriculture.

Ag Department Director Greg Ibach says they will continue to tell European Union partners about Nebraska’s safe, quality meat products.

The trip comes less than a year after Governor Pete Ricketts led a trade mission to Europe.

Ricketts says it is important to continue to tell the story of Nebraska beef, corn, and other products the state has to offer, as well as how farm and ranch operations work.

State Ag Department officials will be joined by representatives of the Nebraska Corn Board, the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Association, and the Nebraska Pork Producers Association.

The Corn Board is funding the trip, which is being planned in conjunction with the U-S Meat Export Federation.  The delegation will visit London, Brussels and Amsterdam.
