Prominent Republican Questions Kleeb’s Qualifications

A prominent Nebraska Republican questions whether Nebraska Democratic Party chair Jane Kleeb has the right qualifications to lead the party.

Attorney J-L Spray says party leaders need to concentrate on the real work of building a political party, such as registering voters and recruiting candidates. . .

Spray also questions whether when Jane Kleeb speaks she’s speaking for the Democratic Party or Bold Nebraska.

A prominent Nebraska Democrat says there is no doubt about the effectiveness of Kleeb as an advocate, whether she helps lead the party to election victories remains to be seen.

Attorney Dave Domina, the party’s unsuccessful candidate for US Senate in 2014, says Kleeb has many fine qualities. . .

But, Domina says Kleeb isn’t a unifier and her well-known liberal stances might make it easier to attract progressives to the Nebraska Democratic Party than to heal divisions within the party.
