The Minnesota Departments of Health and Human Services say progress is being made in the program that investigates reports of elder abuse and maltreatment.
State Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm says around 90-percent of the backlog of abuse cases from 2017 have been resolved. She says her office receives around 400 reports of suspected elder abuse each week.
