The South Dakota Department of Human Services has created a chance for students with disabilities to earn higher education. Through a three-year pilot program, up to five students will be able to attend Augustana College in Sioux Falls through the Augie Access program. The college will receive funding assistance from the DHS in order to establish the program with the hope that similar programs will be developed at other institutions around South Dakota in the future.
