One Million Cups could lead to some significant business development. That’s the hopes of backers who helped kick off the program in Yankton yesterday.

One Million Cups is a framework that helps entrepreneurs move from ideas to actual businesses.

The movement is supported by the Kaufman Foundation in Kansas City. Taylor Brown says it’s an effort to support innovative ideas…

The first active group in the state began in Brookings. Brown, with the Foundation, says they did not intend at first to be in these small towns…

Brown says even small developments can be exciting…

Members of the group plan to meet weekly to help introduce people and ideas.
