Senator Burke Harr of Omaha believes one of the first things lawmakers will address in January is prison reform.

Harr says Governor Dave Heineman along with the Legislative and Judicial branches are looking at the issue of overcrowding right now. He believes if it comes down to building another prison that is what Nebraska will do to keep violent offenders off the streets.

Harr is optimistic there will be complete prison reform and that includes changing good time to earned time.
