A wide range of prison reform measures will likely be proposed in the new Nebraska legislative session.
Appropriations Committee chairman, Senator Heath Mello of Omaha, says legislative committee studies over the interim have concluded reform of the Department of Correctional Services must be a priority for the legislature. . .

Mello says with two legislative committees focused on the Department of Correctional Services during the interim, prison reform is on the mind of everyone in the Unicameral.
