Over the weekend the South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation held their Prime Time Gala. More than 4,700 people attended the banquet and concert. The proceeds go to Feeding South Dakota to help their food banks meet the needs of the hungry. Executive Director Matt Gassen says the event was a huge success raising $173,000.

Gassen says the Foundation surpassed their goal by a large amount and the $115,000 raised last year.

Gassen says the money will allow Feeding South Dakota to meet the protein needs of the hungry they serve.

Gassen says Feeding South Dakota has distribution warehouses located in Sioux Falls, Pierre and Rapid City and anyone interested in donating can go to their website for more information.
