The South Dakota Cattlemen’s Foundation Prime Time Gala, held over the weekend, raised $263,000 for Feeding South Dakota. Foundation President Ryan (eye-k-lur) Eichler says that surpassed their expectations of $150,000.

He says counting this year’s event, the Gala has raised over $1.2 million. Eichler says their partnership with Feeding South Dakota has worked well since they began the Gala six years ago.

Eichler notes that the donations they’ve received for Feeding South Dakota are particularly impressive given the depressed state of the ag economy.

Last year, over $228,000 was raised and Eichler says they’ve already started planning for next year’s Prime Time Gala.
