President’s Order Draws Ire

The President’s use of executive action to delay any move to deport as many as five million illegal immigrants has angered Nebraska Congressional Republicans.
Congressman Adrian Smith says President Obama’s rationalization for the move is insufficient. Smith argues the federal government faces a number of difficult issues…and says they all were elected to decide those difficult issues. . .

Smith suggests Congress might file a lawsuit to stop the president’s move.

Senator Deb Fischer finds the timing of the president’s proposal curious. . .

Fischer says the new Republican-controlled Congress must respond…either through a lawsuit or through restricting money to the Obama Administration.
