Kentucky Republican Senator and Presidential Candidate Rand Paul says he will address overregulation of agriculture by the federal government if he becomes President. Paul was a guest last week on Drive Time on WNAX. He says the EPA has misinterpreted the Clean Water Act in their attempt to expand the waters they regulate under WOTUS.
He says WOTUS threatens private property rights and is an overexpansion of the EPA’s authority and that’s why it needs to be done away with.
Paul says much of what the EPA and other federal agencies do can be handled better at the state and local level.
Paul says he opposes government overreach in most forms and WOTUS is a prime example of that.
