Farm Bureau members are excited about President Trump’s address at the American Farm Bureau Federation’s Annual Convention in Nashville, Tennessee. South Dakota Farm Bureau President Scott VanderWal says it’s significant the Commander in Chief will address farmers.

VanderWal says members are hoping the President will provide assurances about the future of trade during his address.

Speaking at the opening session, AFBF President Zippy Duvall says he’s looking forward to thanking President Trump in person for the positive changes he and his administration made in the first year of his presidency.

Duvall says the president has promised farmers and ranchers NAFTA would be even better than before following the renegotiation.

President Trump speaks Monday afternoon.
