President Calls for Year Round E15

Tuesday, President Donald Trump called for the Environmental Protection Agency to initiate a rule making process lifting the Reid Vapor Pressure rule. That will allow year-round access of E15. American Coalition For Ethanol CEO Brian Jennings says that decision is a game changer for the biofuels industry.

He says they’re watching to see what type of trade off the Trump administration makes with the oil companies regarding RINs transparency. Jennings says that will likely lead to a separate rule making process.

Jennings says providing year round access to E15 has multiple benefits for farmers, consumers and ethanol producers.

Jennings is hoping the EPA finishes the E15 rule making process in time for the fuel to be used during the summer driving season in 2019.
