Backers of the Port Yankton casino project held an update meeting at One Million Cups in Yankton, with some new potential designs released.
The proposal envisions a casino anchoring an entertainment complex near the Missouri River in downtown Yankton.
Rob Stephenson, C.E.O. of Yankton Area Progressive Growth says they are just working with concepts now…..
Stephenson says they are looking for community consensus on the project and details…..
A feasibility study says the project could create up to three hundred jobs. Stephenson says that is not what is driving the proposal…..
A resolution is being introduced into the South Dakota legislature this week that would place a constitutional amendment on the ballot needed to authorize the casino.
