Pork producers from around the world are expected to return to Des Moines, Iowa this week for the 34th edition of the World Pork Expo. The annual event makes a return following two years of suspension due to the COVID pandemic. Doug Fricke is the Director of Trade Show Marketing with the National Pork Producers Council and says this year’s pork show will feature a huge array of industry vendors.
Frick says the World Pork Expo will have more than 400 companies occupying more than 700 booth spaces. He tells where producers can locate the vendors on the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
As for the producer educational sessions, Fricke says they will focus on several different topics that are important to the pork industry. Fricke says producers should be ready with their questions. The National Pork Producers Council official says the “Big Grill” will be back cooking up various free pork meats during the show as part of the free lunch to be serve to attendees. The World Pork Expo begins on Wednesday, June 8th and continues through Friday, June 10th. WNAX radio will feature special reports from the World Pork Expo.
