Pork Industry Certifies A Common Audit Tool

After 18 months of industry collaboration, the pork industry has developed….and had certified a common audit tool. Minnesota Pork Executive Director Dave Preisler says it expands the existing Pork Quality Assurance® Plus program and serves as a single, common audit platform for the pork industry.
Preisler says the common audit will provide clarity to producers about audit standards and expectations. Plus it will avoid duplicative, costly and inefficient audit programs.
The overarching goal of the common audit process is to provide consumers greater assurance of the care taken by farmers and pork processors to improve animal well-being and food safety.
