The Ponca Tribe of Nebraska announced the name of their new gaming facility located on their land in Carter Lake, Iowa. Tribal Chairman Larry Wright Jr. says the Prairie Flower Casino is named after Chief Standing Bear’s daughter. He says phase one is almost complete on the 9,500 square foot casino.

Prairie Flower Casino will also feature a full-service bar and a snack bar.
Wright says the hiring process is underway.

Wright says further phases of the casino include the addition of gaming tables. It is scheduled to open in October and is located just south of Eppley Airfield.
