Poll Shakeup, Iowa Gains

Four teams dropped from the Associated Press college football top ten this week while Iowa was among the teams that gained positions.

Oklahoma, LSU, Tennessee and Notre Dame each dropped from the top ten. LSU fell the most spots, falling 16 places to #21. Tennessee won its game, but voters were not impressed by their overtime win over Appalachian State.

Iowa defeated Miami of Ohio in their opener and moved up one notch to #16 in the country. The Hawkeyes will host Iowa State this weekend.

Nebraska continued to get votes while remaining outside the top 25.

The new top five consists of Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Ohio State and Michigan.
