Kansas and Connecticut remain the top rated men’s and women’s college basketball teams with some area teams getting notice.

The Jayhawks got all but two of the first place votes while keeping their lead over second place Oklahoma, a team they beat in three overtimes last week.

Iowa has moved up to #16 in the country, surpassing state rival Iowa State which fell to #17.

UConn continues a unanimous choice on the women’s side. South Dakota State is receiving votes while not ranked in the top 25.
