A big distribution center for Polaris Industries in Vermillion is going to get bigger, and add more jobs.

The expansion, which will add over two hundred twenty four thousand square feet to the structure was officially announced yesterday.

Paul Eickhoff director of North American Distribution for Polaris says they need the extra space…

 

The expansion will also add about forty new jobs to the plant. Eickhoff says they try to take care of their workers…

 

Eickhoff says they had a lot of help from local and state economic development officials…

 

The state added ten million dollars for the project through reinvestment payments of sales and use taxes through the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Both Governor Dennis Daugaard and GOED head Pat Costello were on hand for the announcement.
