Shortstop Jorge Polanco of the Twins has been voted a starter for the American League in the upcoming All Star game.

He will become the first Twin to start in the game since Joe Mauer was the American League catcher in 2013.

First baseman C.J. Cron and designated hitter Nelson Cruz each finished third in the voting at their positions and Eddie Rosario was sixth among outfielders.

Pitchers and reserves will be announced on Sunday. The All Star game will be held July 9 in Cleveland.
