Concern in the U.S. ag industry over the doubling of farm bankruptcy’s in the Upper Midwest since 2014 has several farmers looking for solutions. POET official Matt Merritt says a part of that answer lies with more renewable fuel production and biofuel development.

He says the most profitable sector in the ag industry over the last few years has been renewable fuels.

Merritt says the EPA is working hard to move forward year round use of E15 which he hopes will be implemented by next summer. He says that also will help the ag economy.

Merritt says biofuels have driven value added ag growth.
