A Bi partisan group of 38 Senators sent a letter to EPA administrator Scott Pruitt calling for a stronger Renewable Fuel Standard for 2018. That letter comes as the agency is finalizing its biofuel volume requirements for next year. POET Hudson Ethanol General Manager Jeremy Halgerson appreciates the Senator’s support for the RFS and is hoping that’ll convince the EPA administrator to retain robust RFS volume levels.

He says having strong RFS levels helps ensure a better and healthier environment for everyone.

Halgerson says President Trump has been a strong champion for renewable fuels and it’s important he get that message across to EPA administrator Pruitt as those RFS volume levels are finalized.

Halgerson says the EPA needs to follow the intent of Congress with their implementation of the RFS.
