Plenty of Rail Cars for Harvest

A near record harvest doesn’t appear to be putting much pressure on the rail system in the state. That is in contrast to the last couple of years when railroads could not keep up with the demand.
Todd Yeaton is Chair of the South Dakota State Rail Board, and also manages a grain loading facility in Kimball. He says the rail system is running on time………

Yeaton says low prices right now is keeping much of that grain off the rails…………

Yeaton says they are getting the trains they need, on time………

Yeaton says they expect to maintain weekly shipments well into the winter.
