The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association is holding its convention in New Orleans this week and being joined by members of the Public Lands Council. Ethan Lane is Executive Director for the Public Lands Council and NCBA’s Federal Lands group. He says they’re discussing issues ranging on everything from regulations to trade.
He says they’re awaiting the rewrite of the Endangered Species Act and the final rule on that.
Lane says his group’s members want more local control of most regulations and also streamlining of any new rules coming out so they’re handled transparently and efficiently.
The convention began on Wednesday and runs through Friday.
