The United States Senate this week voted 68 to 31 to confirm Ryan Zinke as Interior Secretary. Public Lands Council Executive Director Ethan Lane says his group looks forward to working with Zinke on important grazing and land management issues.

He says the new Secretary will look after local interests as it relates to land planning.

Lane says he expects Zinke to take into account the rights of those producers who graze on public lands and will give them a voice in the regulatory process.

Prior to becoming Interior Secretary, Zinke served in Congress representing Montana.
